Verified Compute Cloud

Climate data
that proves
itself.

VCC is the open verification network for sustainability data. Your numbers stay private. Independent operators verify the math. Anyone can audit the result.

01 · Submit
Your data stays yours
Connect existing systems — IoT, ERP, MRV — to VCC Gateway. Raw data never leaves your infrastructure.
02 · Prove
Math without exposure
A cryptographic fingerprint proves the calculation was performed correctly — without revealing the underlying data.
03 · Verify
Your quorum, your rules
1 private KYC'd node or thousands of public operators worldwide. You define the trust threshold.
04 · Audit
Permanently on record
The verified result is published to Explorer. Regulators, auditors, buyers — anyone can check it, forever.
The problem

Climate claims are unverifiable.
Until now.

Anyone can claim carbon neutrality
Without independent verification, ESG reports are indistinguishable from marketing. Greenwashing costs real trust.
Calculations are black boxes
Auditors can't reperform sustainability calculations. The methodology is opaque. Trust is assumed, not earned.
Fragmented standards, siloed data
Every platform uses different methods. No shared standard buyers can trust across registries or markets.
The ecosystem

Four products. One trusted result.

From methodology creation to public audit — every piece designed to work together.

Who is VCC for?

Five distinct roles. One shared infrastructure for verified sustainability.

Methodology Builder
I define how sustainability calculations should work
Standards bodies, research institutes, and alliances — including VMI members like RMI, EnergyTag, and PCAF — author and publish official MethodPackages in VCC Studio. Your methodology becomes the trusted standard that enterprises and registries build on.

Enterprise / Emitter
I need my sustainability data independently verified
Connect your existing data systems — IoT meters, ERP, MRV platforms — to VCC Gateway. Raw data never leaves your infrastructure. A cryptographic proof travels the network instead. The verified result lands on Explorer, ready for buyers and regulators.

Registry Operator
I run a registry and need a credible verification layer
Registries like Green Proofs and SAFc embed VCC as their verification backbone. Inherit the full audit trail — methodology references, execution records, consensus results — without building that infrastructure yourself.

GatewayVCC StudioExplorer
Auditor / Verifier
I need to check or reperform a claim — once or ongoing
Explorer exposes the full verification record: which methodology was used, which operators voted, what evidence was referenced. Request evidence access for regulated audits. Subscribe for ongoing monitoring and consensus alerts.

Network Operator
I want to run a node and earn for participating
Run VCC Runtime on your own infrastructure. Independently verify sustainability calculations, submit your results, and earn rewards for every round. No trust required — the math is checkable. Join a private consortium or the global open network.

Private / KYC'd quorum
1 – dozens
A closed set of vetted, identity-verified operators. Used by enterprises in regulated energy markets, financial compliance, or corporate ESG. You know exactly who verified your data.
Public / open network
hundreds → global
Any operator worldwide can run a node. Maximum decentralisation, maximum credibility. Used where independent trust is paramount — public registries, cross-border claims, market-facing certificates.
You define the quorum. Choose threshold and trust level at deployment — private today, public-ready tomorrow.
How it works for auditors

Privacy-preserving verification.
Step by step.

A company's data stays encrypted. An auditor still proves everything. Here's how.

01
The fingerprint
02
The request
03
The window
04
The proof
Step 1 — before anything happens
A tamper-proof stamp is taken of everything.
When a company's data enters VCC Gateway, a single certified fingerprint — called a ComputeReceipt — is generated and published publicly on Explorer. Think of it as a notarised inventory. It cannot be changed, backdated, or removed.
The fingerprint is public — any auditor can see it on Explorer before making any request
The underlying data remains fully encrypted inside the company's own infrastructure
This happens automatically every time a calculation is run — no manual step required

Step 2 — the auditor arrives
Identity first. A precise request, not a dump.
The auditor signs in with a VMI-certified credential — a verified badge that confirms their professional status. They then specify exactly what they need: a specific facility, a specific time window. Not everything. Just what the audit requires.
No anonymous requests — identity is verified before any access is considered
Data owner sees a structured request and approves: one-time access or ongoing subscription
The request is logged immutably — a full audit trail of who asked for what and when
VMI Certified AUDITOR ✓ Access request Approve Decline 1× or ongoing access
Step 3 — selective disclosure
A window opens. Not a door.
The vault doesn't open. Instead, the system extracts only the specific data leaves the auditor requested and issues a mathematical certificate — a Merkle proof — proving those exact items were inside the vault when the fingerprint was taken. Everything else stays sealed.
Requested data leaves with a certificate proving it was in the vault at fingerprint time
All other facilities, financial data, and customer records remain fully encrypted
This is still ZK — selective disclosure is a valid privacy-preserving technique, not a compromise
Facility A · Q1–Q3 ► MERKLE PROOF ✓ all other data: sealed 🔒
Step 4 — the verdict
The documents match the fingerprint. Verified.
The auditor independently checks the documents they received against the public fingerprint on Explorer. They match — mathematically, not on trust. The calculation was run correctly against the certified methodology. The audit is complete. Nobody's word was required at any point.
Documents received ↔ public fingerprint: match confirmed
Calculation verified against the VMI-certified MethodPackage
Zero private data exposed — the company's vault remained sealed throughout

Governance

The Verifiable Markets Initiative

VMI is the governing alliance behind VCC's methodology standard. Co-convened by Energy Web and RMI, VMI certifies MethodPackages and maintains the public methodology library in VCC Explorer.

Every verified claim on VCC traces back to a VMI-certified methodology — giving buyers, regulators, and auditors a single chain of custody from raw data to public result.
